The German U-17 women's team has made a strong start in the European Championship held in Northern Ireland, marking their first qualification since 2023. Mia Giesen from Borussia Mönchengladbach opened the scoring in the 8th minute, giving the Germans an early lead. After the halftime break, Germany continued to press forward, and their efforts paid off when Marie Kleemann from Eintracht Frankfurt doubled the lead in the 62nd minute. Despite a brief scare when Norway's Stine Solemdal scored in the 68th minute, the German squad remained composed. Johanna Putzer from Freiburg sealed the victory with a goal in the 86th minute, restoring the two-goal cushion and ensuring a triumphant start to the tournament. Head coach Sabine Loderer expressed her satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting their intensity and ability to adapt to the game's demands.
